This Laboratory is established to perform pharmacoanalytical service and assist investigators to solve pharmacoanalytical problems through expertise established at College of Pharmacy at The Ohio State University.

LC/MS
A Perkin-Elmer Sciex API 300 triple quadrupole mass spectrometer coupled to a Shimadzu gradient LC system and a temperature controlled autosampler; this LC/MS system is capable of performing electrospray (ESI) and atmospheric pressure ionization (API), positive and negative ion detection, single ion and multiple reaction monitor, and collision induced dissociation experiments. Additionally, this system is equipped with a capillary LC/MS interface, and can be connected online with UV and photodiode-array detection.

A Finnigan LCQ Ion Trap LC/MS coupled to a Shimadzu gradient LC system and a temperature controlled autosampler; this LC/MS system is capable of performing electrospray (ESI) and atmospheric pressure ionization (API), positive and negative ion detection, single ion and multiple ion detection, and collision induced dissociation experiments. This instrument can perform (MS)n experiment which is essential for structural identification.

Additionally, we have a Finnigan TSQ, quantum ultra EMR system available through The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center Shared Resource program.

OSUCCC Pharmacoanalytical Shared Resource (PhASR)

Other related equipments include several HPLC instruments with UV, fluorescence, and electrochemical detectors and gas chromatographs.
